Why should I buy a brand package?
You've had that little voice in your head saying:
"I don't really need it. I've got Canva and I'm pretty good with that. Most of the time I'm consistent with my branding, I think. It's a big investment and it won't really make that much difference to what I'm doing right now."
And then it says, "isn't it time for chocolate?"
You open Canva to set up the next thing for your brand - maybe an image for a post, an idea for a workshop, a course you want to create. You start working, move things around, look at a trending template, decide you like that one instead, tweak it for a while. Then you decide you preferred the first idea. Then you look for some other colours because you think you're missing a bit of blue. Then you google "ways to make your brand look better," and spend time reading blogs and watching YouTube videos - oh, and a video of dancing dogs, cute! Three hours have gone and you haven't actually finished what you wanted to do, so it goes to the bottom of the to-do list.
You haven't done anything wrong. You're not lazy, and you're not lacking creativity. You've just grown and changed on this journey, and your brand hasn't kept up. You're in the trees and you can't see a clear path out. You're not even sure how to describe what you want - let alone trust that someone else will understand it. And underneath all of it, there's a quieter fear: that no one else could love this business and get it the way you do.
It's not just the three hours here and two hours there. It's that every single time you want to do something new - a workshop, a post, a launch - you're starting from zero instead of just adding the words and being done. It's the ideas that never make it out of your head because you can't face another afternoon lost to Canva. It's the ‘I'll get to it later' pile getting taller, and your business staying exactly the size it is right now while you know, deep down, you're capable of so much more than that.
Maybe it's time to take a little step back. Get a piece of paper and some pens, I suggest different colours because it’s fun! and write everything down. All the ideas, the weird ones, the whacky ones, everything. Anything that's going on in your head about your branding, just get it out onto the page. Put it away for a day or two, then come back and look at it properly. You'll start to see what's actually important, or a pattern in what you like and don't like. You might even get a bit of clarity.
But if you look at it and it's still a jumbled mess you can't untangle - that's the moment you need help. A brand that's clear, that actually fits who you are, becomes easy to use. Instead of second-guessing every design decision, you know exactly what goes where. Suddenly those three hours aren't spent researching - they're spent putting the workshop together and getting it out into the world. All that stuff comes out of your head, and you get the brain space back for the next brilliant idea. You've got a path for your business again. And you, the real, colourful, unmistakably “you” you, gets to show up properly, so everyone who sees your branding says, “I knew it was you from your branding!”
