A Brand That Grows With You

Courage to Shine Coaching - Logo, Brand & Social Media Templates

Laura runs Courage to Shine Coaching, supporting managers to grow with confidence in a safe, empowering space. Because her clients are professionals, her brand needed to feel credible and polished - but never cold. Warm, approachable, and quietly uplifting was always the goal.

The Client

This wasn't a one-and-done job. Laura first came to me in April 2024 for a logo. Nine months later, she came back - her business had grown, she was launching a new coaching course, and she needed her visuals to keep up. What started as a logo became a full brand suite, built in two stages as her business developed.

That's how good branding works. You build the foundations properly, and then everything else has something solid to grow from.

The Project

Part One: The Logo - April 2024

Laura came with a feeling rather than a finished idea, which is actually the best place to start. She sent over a collection of reference images - lots of sunsets, golden tones, light breaking through trees - and from our conversations it became clear that the hands symbolism was central to everything. She wanted people to feel genuinely held and supported, not just coached. The brief shaped itself around that: warmth, uplift, and the quiet reassurance that someone's always there to help you rise.

The Brief

Working from Laura's images and our conversations, I explored several directions - playing with how to bring sunshine and open hands together in a way that felt meaningful rather than literal. The four concepts each took a different approach: from a simple, graphic hand cradling a sun, to a more detailed circular mark with a forest and light filtering through, to a watercolour-style sun with clean typography underneath.

Alongside the visual development, I made sure the colour palette was built with accessibility in mind - high contrast combinations that would hold up across digital and print, while still carrying that warm, sunset-inspired tone Laura had loved from the start.

The final logo landed exactly where Laura needed it - clean, calm, and quietly powerful. Professional enough for the managers she works with, warm enough to reflect how she actually works. Once signed off, we also adapted it for her private Facebook group, so her brand felt consistent wherever her clients found her.

What Laura Said

I would wholeheartedly recommend Claire to produce your logo.

I had no idea what I wanted, and was struggling to articulate how I envisioned my logo might look. I knew what I didn't want, but that was about it.

With very little to go on, somehow Claire managed to produce wonderful logo which was exactly what I wanted. We talked back and forth to make small amendments, and nothing was too much trouble. Claire was happy to answer all my questions and gave me some great advice too.

The whole process was quick, simple and didn't cost the earth. The logo and designs Claire produced far exceeded my expectations and I am so happy with it!

Part Two: Social Media & Presentation Templates - January 2025

Nine months on, Laura was back. She was launching a new coaching course and needed two things: a social media carousel to promote it, and a presentation template to sell it and build out the course materials themselves. Everything had to feel consistent with her existing brand - but with enough fresh energy to feel like something new was happening.

The Breif

We built on the foundations of her original identity, introducing new shapes and soft patterns to give everything a bit more texture and variety - without losing the warm, approachable tone that had always been central to her brand.

For the carousel, the goal was flexibility templates that could work as a connected series or stand alone as individual posts, with enough variation to stay visually interesting over time.

For the presentation, we created a range of slide layouts that Laura could mix and match as her course grew - cohesive without being repetitive, and easy enough to edit herself in Canva without anything going wrong.

What Laura Said

Claire has previously done some work for me, designing my logo and brand, so it was only natural that I went back to her when I wanted some social media design and a presentation pack.

Claire provided me with several design options and listened to what I liked and what didn't work for me, revisiting and tweaking until I was happy with them. I've got so many options now to chose from, which are all easy to edit and work perfectly with my brand.

They're far better than I could have chosen myself. I would [not] hesitate to recommend Claire to anyone looking for support in these areas. She is so lovely to work with and really takes the time to ensure you're happy with what she's created.
